Over memorial day weekend, our families had the chance to come together!
Jorge and Julie traveled to the U.P. to join Greta’s family. We spent the weekend daydreaming and hopefully making some things more concrete. We explored reception venue options, talked lighting, talked lodging talked food.
Oh, and ate a lot of food. We were grateful to get to introduce Jorge & Julie to some of our family (by choice and blood). We shared a night around the campfire with food, music and friends. And Julie consumed more red meat in a weekend than she has in a month – Welcome to the U.P., Julie! Another night was filled with family, stories and a hilarious game of Apples to Apples — oh, and did I mention more food!
When we parted ways it was a bittersweet parting. I was sad to see them go but I’ll admit I was exhausted and ready to sleep in and process all the wonderful ideas and dreams running through my head:
– Evening time
– Sparse trees
– Lanterns & Twinkle Lights
– Lawn Games
– Acoustic Music
– Big Tent
– Tasty Munchies
– ….and much more!
Until next time, Seidels, it was lovely to share your company!
